About the Position

MENTOR seeks a full-time Program Manager, Corporate Partnerships (Manager) to join the growing Workforce Development team at our national office. This new role supports programming with corporations in collaboration with members of the Program Team, Marketing  Communications Team and the Affiliate Team. The manager will work in collaboration with the Director of Workforce Development to manage deliverables associated with corporate partnerships with major financial institutions and global entities to assist with training and technical assistance for corporate mentoring initiatives, and coordinate webinars and online learning events for philanthropic investments and corporate engagement in mentoring. 

To amplify and recognize corporate support of the mentoring field and engagement in mentoring, the manager will work closely with the Marketing and Communications Team to prepare and/or curate blog posts, articles, or speaking opportunities. This manager will play a key role in building the capacity of mentoring programs, corporate clients and national organizations, and enhancing the safety and effectiveness of youth mentoring services. The ideal candidate would be a skilled communicator, with experience in training, and a proactive, strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Project Management

  • Develop project plans for deliverables associated with corporate partnerships
  • Support logistics for corporate programming including trainings and regional events 
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration in the successful implementation of project plans
  • Maintain clear documentation of progress, obstacles, and lessons learned 
  • Facilitate internal evaluations of projects upon completion
  • Collaborate with development on the preparation of grant reports for corporate partners

Training and Technical Assistance

  • Coordinate training and technical assistance requests from companies with the program team, leveraging existing curriculum and materials where possible 
  • Manage network of external training facilitators specializing in delivering to corporate audiences
  • Coordinate with Affiliates to leverage existing corporate partnerships and cultivate new relationships 
  • Lead Design Lab work and coordinate action steps that come from these sessions

Corporate Webinar Coordination

  • Coordinate with existing and potential corporate partners to develop webinar topics and content, invite and support presenters, and structure the webinar sessions
  • Promote webinars leveraging MENTOR’s communication channels 
  • Manage logistics including registration and moderate the live cast
  • Ensure archive webinar recording and materials are created and available to the public 
  • Compile feedback reports to increase registration, improve quality ratings and inform future topics / session format
  • Manage the content update on Talent LMS for corporate work

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in training, program development, or related field; adult training experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong writing and communication skills with high level of attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills and prior experience working with diverse people, organizations and communities
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Able to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience and comfort with technology including online platforms and database work
  • Comfort and confidence to work independently with strong leaning towards collaboration
  • Experience and commitment to youth development especially mentoring

Making the Decision to Apply

This position is currently remote, though we are expecting all employees to return to our Boston office as soon as we can safely return to the workplace following COVID-19 pandemic. This role typically requires someone who is willing and able to travel nationally (~35%).

We hope to have phone interviews in early April with select candidates followed by Zoom interviews with the Director of Workforce Development. A few finalists will have an interview day with other staff and leadership at MENTOR followed by a holistic reference check process. Expected start date is June 2021. 

Compensation and Benefits

Salary will be commensurate with experience and the range is $55,000-$65,000. Full benefits include health care, 403B, vacation, and life and short and long term disability insurance.
