The Opportunity

We seek an experienced talent acquisition professional to work in partnership with our nonprofit and social impact clients. Qualified applicants will possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a genuine desire to grow, develop skills and proactively and consistently deliver results.

Your experience leading HR/Talent, Business or Operations, ideally inclusive of core functions like hiring, will prepare you for this role as a hands-on executor, partner in learning and supporter to achieving high-quality client goals.  It is your creativity, ability to build high-quality relationships, mission-fit, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion that will differentiate you as a key asset to our organization and the clients we serve. 

Consultants work directly with our clients in developing and executing our search work, including executive search, our HireValue model and other recruitment projects. As a Consultant, you will work in close partnership with our Talent and Recruitment Team and have the opportunity to build relationships across our growing organization.

This role reports to Alissa Farber, Positively Partners’ Vice President.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment + Talent Acquisition
    • Work with other Positively Partners consultants and team members to advance recruitment and selection projects through ongoing partner and project management including, but not limited to:
      • Designing and managing inclusive, equitable and timely hiring processes
      • Sourcing a diverse and robust pool of candidates using creative and effective outreach techniques 
      • Creating and adapting rigorous hiring tools such as job descriptions and interview guides
      • Managing hiring processes via electronic Applicant Tracking Systems and ensuring effective maintenance of our candidate database and other data tools
      • Evaluating applications and screening candidates via calls or emails, as well as facilitating pre-interview assessments.
      • Scheduling and conducting applicant interviews
      • Staying in touch with potential candidates via email and phone 
      • Helping a hiring manager negotiate and extend an offer
      • Documenting processes and fostering good relationships with potential candidates and past applicants
      • This role will work closely with hiring managers at all levels of the organization, including senior executives, and should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and professional judgement
    • Partner with our team in the day to day work of candidate and project management 
    • Support our team’s project management, aiming to increase overall efficiency and effectiveness of searches
    • Support our team’s marketing and external communications regarding open roles, social media, branding and role positioning.  
  • Help grow and develop our organization  
    • Contribute to our team’s learning and development through participation in regular company-wide meetings and projects.  

Qualifications + Experience

  • Progressive leadership experience in the HR, Operations, Business or Talent field; preferably in a recruiting function in a social impact or nonprofit management setting.
  • A successful track record in setting priorities, managing relationships and ability to prioritize, negotiate and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders/partners. 
  • Exceptional ability to screen candidates, compile shortlists and interview candidates.
  • Experience in creating awareness of a company’s brand and establishing professional relationships with candidates and clients.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to thoroughness.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop high-quality relationships, understand the needs of executives and hiring managers, and identify effective solutions.
  • Impeccable ethics and judgment in maintaining highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills/ emotional intelligence, with the ability to manage relationships with a diverse set of colleagues.
  • Proficiency using systems, tools, and processes including comfort with LinkedIn Recruiter, Google Apps, HootSuite, and ATS.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented with experience working in ambiguity.

Compensation & Benefits 

Positively Partners offers its staff a robust compensation and benefits package including access to high-quality health benefits and an opportunity for an end of year discretionary bonus based on individual performance and the success of the organization in meeting its goals for the calendar year. The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $95,000. Positively Partners is committed to supporting employee growth in our field, including providing training and support on an ongoing basis.
