About Us: Fathers’ Uplift is the country’s first mental health and substance abuse treatment facility for fathers and families, helping fathers become and remain emotionally stable for their children. Fathers' UpLift uses peer coaching, father-child therapy, training, youth programs, and support for incarcerated and recently released fathers to honor and rehabilitate the relationship between thousands of fathers and families in the Boston area. In their outpatient clinic, over 800 fathers and families receive mental health services from clinicians trained in trauma who reflect the population being served. Outside of the clinic, Fathers' UpLift partners with community centers, substance abuse programs, and other agencies to build a holistic approach to helping fathers rebuild their lives and their relationship with their families.
About the role: The Clinical Intake Coordinator is a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude. Candidates will assist management and all visitors in the company by handling incoming referrals, general office tasks and providing polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, and e-mail, generally helpful and positive. Additionally, the Clinical Intake Coordinator supports coordination, tracking, and scheduling meetings for executive and director-level management within Fathers’ UpLift. The Clinical Intake Coordinator typically reports and works directly with the Director of Operations to ensure all administrative tasks are executed quickly. They also perform clerical and office duties; these may include creating reports, screening phone calls, facilitating training/meetings and drafting letters, and other documentation on behalf of the Director of Operations. The Clinical Intake Coordinator must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and well-organized skills.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to all incoming service inquiries/referrals
Provide real-time scheduling support by booking appointments and preventing conflicts for the coaches/clinician staff
Screening referrals, assigning clients, updating/maintaining waitlists
Maintain polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail
Anticipate the needs of others to ensure they experience a seamless and positive experience
Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
Perform intakes and manage providers caseload
Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
Use the Kareo system to work with Billing Manager as well as check and verify the client’s insurance and file patient forms in the appropriate place
Remain in constant communication with the Billing Manager regarding any issues and questions that surface
Make necessary arrangements for medical records requests, complete additional information requests, etc., as requested by insurance companies
Regularly meet with the Billing Manager to discuss and resolve reimbursement issues or billing obstacles
Regularly attend weekly staff meetings and continuing education sessions and trainings including SUD and Dual Diagnosed dx and others as requested
Perform additional duties as requested by the Supervisory or Management team

Master’s Degree of Social Work or Master’s in Psychology (or in the process of obtaining licensure within 1 year of employment).
2-3 years of professional experience preferably within the social work sector
A demonstrated passion for Fathers' Uplift's mission is highly desirable
Ability to ensure the confidentiality of fathers, youth, and families
Familiarity with understanding and explaining insurance explanations of benefits
Preferred to have previously completed SUD training(s)
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Self-motivated, good organizational and interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
Professional, kind, and client focused communication skills, both verbal and written
Location, Compensation & Benefits
This is a full time exempt position with a salary range of $50,000- $55,000 annually. Rates of pay within this range will be commensurate with experience and based on factors such as years of experience and educational qualifications. Fathers’ UpLift offers a generous benefits package including:

This is a hybrid remote position and there will need to work in person weekly at the Fathers’ Uplift office - 12 Southern Ave, Dorchester, MA.
