Overnight Residential Supervisor (Transitional Living Program)

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Overnight Supervisor serves as a leader for overnight staff and provides supervision for residents of our Transitional Living and Single Parent House Programs. The Overnight Supervisor serves as a counselor and role model throughout the program and ensures the safety and well-being of residents. The ideal candidate will love working with adolescents and young adults, have excellent boundaries and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Counseling & Client Services

  • Familiarize new youth with the  program
  • Provide clients with advocacy, referrals, crisis intervention and supportive counseling appointments
  • Ensure clients are following the guidelines and expectations of the program
  • Monitor client behaviors to ensure the safety of themselves and those around them through direct client/ staff interaction
  • Prepare clients for independent living through various life skills activities.  Which includes cooking, socialization, and group interaction

Shift Supervision & Administration

  • Implementation and tracking of an overnight shift to do list
  • Participate in staff meetings and trainings
  • Supervision with Emergency Program Coordinator
  • Ensure that all activities, services and programs through Bridge are conducted in a manner that is sensitive to and shows respect for the cultural and ethnic diversity for all Bridge clients
  • Track overnight staff trainings and schedule webinars
  • Facilitate the monthly overnight staff meeting
  • Assist in performance management for overnight staff
  • Submit monthly report with supervision notes, minutes from meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in preferred
  • Two years or more experience working with adolescents
  • Previous experience in one or more of the following areas: homelessness, substance abuse, human services organization
  • CPR/First Aid Certified
  • Strong communication skills with ability to interact effectively with diverse groups
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented with experience working in ambiguity
  • Valid  Massachusetts driver’s license and continuous clean driver’s record
  • Must be able to successfully pass a CORI, reference and multi-state background check
